Randomania V

Excuse for having been absent for a while. Been real busy with a number of things but it's just easing up a little. This is probably gonna be the last breather I get before the final wave hits. My exam timetable is just messed up this time round. 12th, 13th, 15th June with only one free week to study for the three subjects. Plus there are still 3 major assignments between now and then. Oh well, I'll find a way to survive.

I'm quite sore today. Yesterday's training must have been one of the best sessions I've had yet. Aside from getting kicked by my trainer and flying across the room, sparring was very fun. I must say I'm very grateful for the opportunity I have for something I'm so passionate about in life. Something I always look forward to. And I want it to go somewhere..

But now, I think it's time for another Randomania; Randomania V

Let's start with this Shabu-Shabu place in Bangkok we went to the last time we were back. I can say this restaurant was one of my favourites this trip round. I think it was the freshness of their food that set them apart from other Shabu-Shabu joints. So close to our house too.

But what made this place so special was their special almond sauce. And I must say it was special. It was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo good.

The almond sauce was really good both plain or mixed with fresh garlic/chilli/spring onion. Mmmmmm. Cannot wait to go back. Candidette, next time I'm taking you there!

'Cake and Pie shop' at Melbourne Uni's lastest night market.

Some of the items being sold in their shop

A few of the ugly dolls cake made for sale.

More of the ugly dolls Cake has been making at home. I took the octopus.

Hehe

This is one of the ugliest.

Some mini ice cream cones at a shop in Bangkok. Can' really tell from the pic but each cone must have only been about 2 1/2 inches in height. Just one bite, really.

Up in Chiang Mai, I couldn't help but admire how nicely arranged these bbq pork ball sticks were. Even in the cabinet.

The seller was nowhere in sight tho.

I saw this guy couple times around the streets of Bangkok. I must say he's one of the street acts with some real talent. He sang, danced, played the harmonica and the 'Isaan' style guitar, and dressed up as... well what you see on the picture. He had some serious tits bouncing around, too.

+ + + + + + +

A snake we spotted on a tree by our garage. The tree was right next to Mali and she didn't even realise the snake was there. Looks pretty cool actually.

We also checked out a pet shop in Bkk with this room they had displaying the cats. Some were really nice except they were all sleeping the whole time. But then what else do cats do.

We especially liked this one. Had a very weird looking face but we can't see it here. Pretty funny.

My lychee BD cake. Tastes even better than it looks.

+ + + + + + +

Sometimes I can't help but take pictures of weird people I see on the streets. This was a while back when it was still damned hot in Melbourne and this weirdo at uni was walking around in his full leather suit + cape. Whatever makes him happy.

Dad, sists, and a mobile ice cream shop

A Japanese restaurant we went to. The food was very authentic.. and so was everything else in the place. Just thought our room looked very nice.

Happy Cake and her green tea shaved ice, with an interesting looking red bean topping

+ + + + + + +

Back up in Chiang Mai, Dad about to enjoy his 'Kowneow Mamuang'. I don't think I know of anyone who doesn't like this dessert.

Mali getting ready to go for a walk

With her mini-me

Mali even made it big on an Aussie magazine cover.. hehe. Thanks to Cake.

Chloe: 'What about me?'

The three amigos @ Pancake Parlour

Side view

This is what eating at Pancake Parlour makes you become. Just kidding. Pancake Parlour is awesome.

I was also gonna post a picture of this ladyboy I saw in Melbourne but changed my mind. In case he/she stumbles upon my blog and sees the pic... I'm not particular good in dealing with ladyboys.
