Krispy Kreme Bikers

I haven't ranted in a while due to an extreme case of work overload. But anyhow... today I was sitting at this food court just having late lunch. I sat on this log bench thing and had put my bag next to me on my left. I was about half way through my meal when this big biker guy came and sat next to me so I moved my bag. He came alone and I didn't think much of him except 'oh.. a typical big biker guy'. You know... black shirt with bike logo, beer belly, moustache+beard, sunglasses indoor etc..etc..

But I noticed he had with him 4 krispy kreme donuts and 2 drinks. After about 4 mins, his friend turned up. Another biker... same hair cut, sunglasses. Very mean looking. They were about to have their drinks but realised they had forgotten straws. So the second biker said he was going to get some straws... He came back and the first biker looked up at him and said 'Thank you, baby!!' And then they kissed.

Hehehe...

Sidyodtong

I finally got a chance to go check out the Muay Thai gym Kenny trains at. It was in a way what I had expected. Very down-to-earth, low-tech, Thai countryside style boxing camp with Thai country music playing on a cheap boombox in the background. At times, it actually felt like I was back in Thailand somewhere out of Bangkok.

So I knew this was the place for me to start training at. Not that I don't like training with Ernie.. Ernie's great but I have always wanted to train at a Thai camp with a Thai ex-fighter. I would have taken a picture of what the place looks like but I didn't wanna look like a tourist in there. So may be some other time. And I'll post up some pix.

Sidyodtong camp basically has half a dozen punching bags of different shapes and/or sizes. I guess it was so you could depict fighting both fat and thin fighters. Haha. There's also an open floor with mirrors for shadow boxing, and of course a boxing ring for some sparring/technical work. Scattered across the gym are all sorts of Muay Thai equipments and other fighting/fitness related gear, and of course pictures of HM the King of Thailand. Other than that, I must say the equipment and machines for weight trainings are inadequate, but that's what is usually expected of Muay Thai gyms. So I think I shall stick with fitness first for weights/biometrics stuff.

Obviously, I got excited with all this. In fact, I think I was a bit too overly excited and should have taken it a little easier on the punching bags. Now I'm waiting for my right shin and ankle to stop swelling and turning purple. Hehe. I was gonna put up a picture but decided against it. I still want people to come read my blog.

Anyways, a place like this is definitely rare in Melbourne let alone Australia and I'm happy to have found it. I shall have a lot of fun training there and I'll try to get some pictures up. Now, I really need to sleep. ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz

Today, a lady at the newsagent made a comment about my name I thought was pretty funny. I was there to buy my train ticket and when I was paying for it, the lady was just starring at my debit card like she was trying to figure out something. Before I could ask what the matter was... She looked up at me and said 'It must have been hard for you as a child every time you had to spell your name in school'.

I never thought of it like that before. As kids, we didn't even realise our names were unusually long for international standard. Most of the times we had to write them out in Thai anyways. But now that I think about it... some of the comments I most often get from friends and strangers are to do with the length of my name and almost every time, I'm asked to pronounce it out for them so they can repeat, which always seem entertaining to them.

Anyways, just something random I was thinking about today.

Ok, I'm back. First thing's first... My computer is zero. After having had accumulated an unjustifiable amount of spyware and such, I decided it was time she was put to sleep, then resurrected. The initial plan was to back up her memories onto the external HDD and then reformat but... It was too late. She died from within, and non of her memories could be saved. Being the master, I had no choice but to let it all go... all of her. Everything... including ALL MY 3,800 odd SONGS!!!!! AAAHHHHHHHHHHhhhhh........

On a brighter side, my comp has now been revived into a brand new virgin, ready for a fresh new start. So fresh so clean clean. It feels good. I'm having a good time filling her up. This time I'll try my best to be very careful and not infect her with anything.

So here's to a fresh new start...
